Attic Sheetrock

Make Your Home Comfortable with Attic Wallboard

Whether you plan to live in the space or build closets and use it for storage, attic drywall is highly beneficial. Most Markham, Ontario, homeowners find that the cool/warm air from inside the house escapes through this area. Therefore, it’s important to insulate and use sheetrock to avoid such issues.

When it’s time to put up drywall, you may not realize just how many options there are. For example, white board is the traditional version. However, green board might be better because it offers moisture-resistant properties.

Regardless of the type you choose, it’s crucial to work with reputable drywall installers like the ones at Visionary Drywall Markham. Let us help you with your next home improvement project; request your free quote now.

  • What Kind of Drywall Do You Use in an Attic?

The type you use will depend on what you intend to use the space for and the environment. If it is damp or humid, you will need moisture-resistant drywall. Fire-resistant plasterboard is preferable for extra protection, but standard drywall can be used if you do not intend to use your attic or if it is dry.

  • Can You Walk on Drywall in an Attic?

No. We do not recommend walking on drywall directly, as it could result in injury and damage to the structure. If you do need to walk on plasterboard, make sure that you are using structural supports.
